| By joining the Art Guild at the $75 or $100 level, as offered further down on this page, you will receive as our gift to you this Richard Beckman print of the old Burlington railroad station, which burned during World War II. Dick's college education included art classes at the University of Iowa while studying law, taking one class from artist Grant Wood. He later established a law firm in Burlington, Iowa. Of the long ago Burlington landmark, Dick reminisces, "One of the greatest daily attractions occurred at the depot about 3 in the afternoon, when #6 came in from the west and #9 came in from Chicago, both arriving at approximately the same time." | ||||||||||
